Dear Soccer Fan,

Kicking It For Kids will be holding its annual Soccer Festival on Sunday, August 8.  This will be the fourth year for this
fund-raising event.  In the first four years, this fund raiser has raised over $18,000 to benefit families of sick and
injured children in the Northwest Ohio Community to ease the financial burden of medical expenses.  This year’s
event will be held again at Rivercrest Park in Perrysburg and will include an opportunity to meet players of the
Columbus Crew and some of our very own community soccer stars.  There will be soccer games, raffles, a goalie
shoot out and concessions to make for a fun filled day for all types of soccer players and fans.

Kicking It For Kids was started by Ian Graham, a local Perrysburg Coach with a great love for the game.  Ian grew up
playing Youth and High School Soccer in Perrysburg.  He continues his involvement coaching with local soccer
organizations with children of all ages.  It is his love for soccer that is at the heart of this tournament that allows a
group of concerned citizens in the Northwest Ohio Soccer Community to have the opportunity to give to our
community.    Ian’s unmatched desire to coach and give of his time to teach soccer skills enables this event to
occur.  We firmly believe that “Our Family is Our Community” and want to give families the ability to enjoy life’s most
precious moments.

Kicking It For Kids held its first Soccer Festival in 2007 called the Abbey Johnson Soccer Festival.  In 2008, the Paul
Hafner Soccer Festival was held to honor his love and passion for the game of soccer.  Paul played for Perrysburg
Youth Soccer Association, Perrysburg Soccer Club, the Toledo Celtics and St. John’s Jesuit High School.  Paul
passed away several years ago and his family helped to start the Kicking It for Kids Foundation.  In 2009 The Paul
Hafner 4v4 Soccer Festival was held with over 300 participants.  This year, the Kicking It For Kids Paul Hafner 4v4
Soccer Festival is scheduled for Sunday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m.  We look to have over 350 participants in the
tournament that will benefit local families in the community.
